Meet Dr. Andrew Trapani
Meet Dr. Andrew Trapani | Meet Dr. Dwight Frey | Meet the Staff
Being an orthodontist is a wonderful opportunity to work with the children, teens and young adults in our community. They are the stars of our practice and my team and I love creating beautiful smiles for them all. The best thing about our office is our dedicated, experienced and highly educated staff. We have a great team of professionals who love working together and share my passion for excellence.
Education
Choosing orthodontics as a career takes a great deal of dedication, education and passion for helping people attain beautiful smiles. I attended the University of Illinois where I received my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and continued on to Loyola University, earning my Master of Science degree and Certificate in Orthodontics. I began my orthodontic career at Fort Sill Army Base in Oklahoma in 1973. I am just as passionate about my life's work as the day I began practicing.
Continuing Education
I constantly strive to improve every aspect of our patient care. I have dedicated my professional lifetime to
becoming and staying the best orthodontist I can be. I attend every local, state and national orthodontic meeting that I can squeeze into my schedule, read every orthodontic journal available to me, and belong to a local study club committed to the highest quality of orthodontic treatment. Trapani Orthodontics also invests a great deal of time and resources into continuing education for all members of our staff. We are all committed to excellence.
Outside the Office
I am a native of Chicago and have lived in the Elgin Countryside for 30 years. My wife, Pam, and I have five grown children, David, Amy, Justin, Stacey, and Greg, two Australian Shepherds, Max and Sydney, and five wonderful grandchildren. I am a professional drummer and have worked with many Chicago bands over my long musical career. I also enjoy playing golf, stained glass art, and walking on the beach on Siesta Key.
